The Raiders wanted an elite receiver for Derek Carr; Green Bay faced a contract impasse with its franchise-tagged star.

Adams remained an elite producer, but the reunion lasted only one season before Carr left Las Vegas.
What changed
The consequences
- Adams led the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns in 2022.
- Green Bay used the selections on Quay Walker and in a trade-up for Christian Watson.
