Why it happened
The bet each side made
The Eagles wanted a proven No. 1 receiver for Jalen Hurts; Tennessee chose cost control rather than a second contract for Brown.
Why history remembers it
Brown produced consecutive All-Pro seasons and helped Philadelphia reach two Super Bowls in his first three years.
What changed
The consequences
- Brown set a Philadelphia single-season receiving-yard record.
- Tennessee used No. 18 on receiver Treylon Burks.
